Knit Shawl

I have decided that I think (really I’m not too sure) I have enough chestnut and lilac chinchilla yarn saved up to make a really nice triangle shawl. I personally like big shawls that you can wrap yourself in like a hug, so this is going to be pretty big. I found the pattern Ravelry from Susan Ashcroft called the No Fuss Shade Loving Shawl, https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/no-fuss-shade-loving-shawl. You can also find it here as well, https://newenglandsnarrowroad.com/2018/06/10/two-free-triangle-shawl-knitting-patterns-perfect-for-beginners/. This pattern is fairly straight forward, I found though that as I got further and further along I needed to keep track of my stitches on both sides of the middle to make sure it was even, so I placed stitch markers every 25 stitches to help keep track.

As I said the yarn is my own handspun yarn from my own bunnies here. The chestnut is from Mary Ann my dark chestnut girl, and the lilac chinchilla is from Maggie and Rocky. I am loving how this is turning out. But I do know some changes that I will make the next time I make this shawl, and yes I will make this shawl again. It’s super simple, but very elegant looking.

The dark yarn is chestnut and the light yarn is lilac chinchilla yarn.
